Sunshine Hill

The view is of uptown Jerome with the long gone Montana Hotel dominating Cleopatra Hill. To its right one sees the edges fo the mine pit and in the foreground are headframes.

We also see part of Sycamore Canyon, the San Francisco peaks, and Beal Town remains.

shows the way from Jerome to the United Verde, now Phelps-Dodge mining area. We lost the Sleep house in a fire reently. None of our firefighters were injured.

Gold King

Further beyond Sunshine Hill is Don Robertson's Gold King, well worth the trip. Here I show a miners shack and a jenny. When I finished drawing her, I foolishly tried to pet her and got nipped.
